Ghirardelli Sign restoration
Working with Page Turnbull Architecture, Arrow surveyed the existing sign and recommended replacing the letters with new LED illumination. Working from a laser scan of the existing sign, the letters were fabricated to the exact letter shape and lamp spacing of the existing display.

Li-Po Sign Restoration
Working with SF Shines and SF neon preservationists, Arrow restored the historic Li-Po lantern in Chinatown. The seventy year old sign was featured in the 1947 Orson Wells film the Lady From Shanghai starring Rita Hayworth. Alameda Theatre Restoration
Arrow was hired to restore the blade sign and marquee for the historic Alameda Theatre in Downtown Alameda. The marquee features open pan channel letters with exposed white neon mounted to a corrugated metal background with exposed clear red neon decorative border. Link to history of the theatre |
El Campanil Theatre - Antioch
Arrow designed a new marquee for the El Campanil Theatre in Antioch. The sign features clear incandescent bulbs within open channel letters. The marquee is a replica of the initial sign featuring white show thru letters on a black background. The original letters had been replaced with a back lit cabinet. |

Oakland Arrow refaced the existing Cal Arts Sign in Uptown Oakland with new exposed neon copy and a high gloss polyurethane finish to replicate the historic blade sign Garden Theatre - San Jose
Arrow restored the Garden Theatre tower and marquee sign in San Jose. The open pan channel letters have exposed neon and are animated to match the original display. The theatre was opened in 1949 and was converted to retail space in 1989. Link to Photo Canopy at Powell and O'Farrell
Arrow Sign Company was hired to restore the canopy at Powell and O'Farrell in Downtown San Francisco. Built in the 1930's the canopy was a landmark sign for Marguard's Cigar Shop. As much of the original structure was kept and care was taken to use authentic materials for repairs. The new sign will feature a neon clock and exposed neon copy returning the canopy to it's original glory. Harrison Hotel
Arrow refurbished the projecting neon sign for the Harrison Hotel in Downtown Oakland. The scope of work included repainting the entire structure in the field and replacing all of the neon, housings and wiring. |
Fisherman's Wharf Sign - San Francisco
Arrow rebuilt the historic Fisherman's Wharf sign and converted the illumination to LED. Care was taken to replicate all of the original details and construction. Coca- Cola Billboard - San Francisco
Arrow rebuilt the historic Coca-Cola billboard in downtown San Francisco. The board had rusted beyond repair and was replaced with factory finished interlocking panels. The letters were illuminated with scintillating incandescent bulbs and an animated neon background. Century Theatres - San Jose
Arrow built the original marquee sign at the Century Theatres located in San Jose. The site was redeveloped as part of the Santana West development. Arrow Sign Company was hired to restore and reinstall the pylon sign reminding everyone of the historic domed theatre in the heart of Santana Row. |
